Oh yes, this was a wonderful way to wake up this morning- having a call from my boss asking me how much money was in the envelope I had left for a coworker. Those thugs walked off with more money from me personally than they did the other two stores... Unfortunately for my boss they didn't stop there.
It was quite obvious that they were only after money, since nothing in the UPS store was bothered, nor was any of the merchandise from the store touched. The only other thing they laid their hands on was the cameras in the backroom, but only after stepping in front of them- there is no way that they couldn't have.
And it is obvious that they were determined to get cash, since they didn't try only once to get into the scrapbook store, but twice... Their first try was under an utility sink in the backroom. Seriously, how desperate does one have to be?
This is the event of this sort to hit me so close to home. And I think it's a bit odd that I just wrote a paper that sorta dealt with this kind of sitch as an undertone...
