So, I'm thinking, because I have limited time while I'm in school, I should list the twenty or so books that I'm going to finish this year.
Books #1-5: The Harry Potter Series #3-7
#6: 1984 by George Orwell
#7: Sense and Sensibility by Jane Austen
#8: A Tale of Two Cities by Charles Dickens
#9: Anne Frank: The Diary of a Young Girl by Anne Frank
#10: Gone With the Wind by Margaret Mitchell
#11: The Hobbit by JRR Tolkien
#12: The Chronicles of Narnia
#13: Alice in Wonderland
#14: Charlie and the Chocolate Factory by Roald Dahl
#15: The Odyssey by Homer
#16: Tuesdays with Morrie by Mitch Albom
#17: The Last Lecture by Randy Pausch
#18: Hamlet by Shakespheare
#19: Wuthering Heights by Emily Bronte
#20: Where the Sidewalk Ends by Shel Silverstein
Or at least something like that. Willing to take suggestions of course.

Wow, I totally just noticed you started another blog. And also, this list is fabulous - all but two of them I have either read, or are on my list. A few suggestions:
ReplyDelete- If you get past HP3, you're in the clear...they get much better after that!
- If you like 1984, read Animal Farm (it's suuuper short)
-If you like Sense & Sensibility, read Pride & Prejudice, or Emma
- Charlie and the Chocolate Factory and Where the Sidewalk Ends are quick reads, so if you like them try their sequels (Charlie and the Great Glass Elevator - although I always preferred The Twits, The Witches, or Matilda growing up - and Falling Up or A Light in the Attic)
-read The Alchemist...short, and possibly my favourite books ever (actually, I love everything by Paulo Coelho)
-Little Women is also a great classic by Louisa May Alcott :)
Let me know if you want more recommendations...I have lots! :)
Yeah, I've really been enjoying blogging, so I decided to start a new one so I can continue on.
ReplyDeleteAs far as HP3, it's the one I've been stuck on for years. I gave up, but I'm going to try again.
Actually, I've already Animal Farm and Pride and Prejudice.... and half of 1984.
I tried to put a few easier reads on my list too, since I know I'm going to have serious school reading to do.
Ugh, there's just so many books to read! :)
